Flyer got his name when he flew to Colorado and back before he was 10 weeks old. He quickly gave his name new meaning as he flew around the ring with his beautiful sidegait and what many judges called a 'smile'. The boy loved to show! He was bred by Phyllis Williams and Claudia Bartlet of Columbine ES, and we coowned him. He wasn't supposed to live with us, but did, for most of his puppy and adult show career, when his coowner was too ill to care for him. He was the sire of our first homebred litter and a very valued part of our foundation. He never met a stranger, and was always wagging. When Flyer retired from the show ring, he went to live with our dear friend Roberta Miller, where he was dearly loved and lived out a wonderful life.
